"Magnolia Blossom"
This painting was done to honor the magnificent magnolia tree, one of the most widely grown ornamental trees on Earth.
As a native of Lousiana but having been raised in California, the magnolia flower has always spoken to me as a link between the two very different cultures. The cup-like flower is iconic in its beauty and fragrance, and one of the oldest flowering plants on the planet.
Often representing the moon's tranquil, feminine energy, its ancient lineage and ability to survive for millions of years makes the lovely magnolia a symbol of perserverance and determination.
Acrylic on canvas, 30Hx40W"x1.75"D.
Varnished.
Painting comes wired and frameless--ready to be hung.
Can also be framed for an additional fee--please contact artist after purchase to discuss framing options.
