As a native of Lousiana but having been raised in California, the magnolia flower has always spoken to me as a link between the two very different cultures. The cup-like flower is iconic in its beauty and fragrance, and one of the oldest flowering plants on the planet.
Often representing the moon's tranquil, feminine energy, its ancient lineage and ability to survive for millions of years makes the lovely magnolia a symbol of perserverance and determination.
